“Wild ancestors” is one of those films that you look at and like to scold even awkwardly: the story is simple as three kopecks, but it works out all the necessary basic elements, and in some places there are good jokes and pun, the animation does not represent anything amazing, but made sweet, pleasantly and, most importantly, manually sophisticated. They carefully show him as a small bug in a huge anthill, where everything that is commonplace for us is frightening and strange. This is supplemented by the fact that the bronze city is furnished as a kind of civilian mordor (in which it is easy to see a parallel with our own reality).
In a couple of minutes, we pass by a heap of different locations, there is a series of situations tied to the “primitiveness” of the hero, and we are wondering what they will do with all this further. Unfortunately, the answer is more prosaic than we would like: instead of expanding this world or revealing new details of the everyday life of bronze people, the authors are narrowed with each subsequent visit of the hero to the city, taking away the final fight to the final (they also bring the “primitive” commentators of the match so that everything is completely obvious).

These are not fatal flaws, but from these details there is a lack of involvement in history, a feeling of insincerity with the audience and the scent of the final result.
